Craig Koehn, also known as Chris Brooks, is a Colorado radio programmer and on-air personality whose career includes stations in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Aspen and Summit County.
In Colorado Springs, contemporary trade and industry records place Koehn at KILO 93.9 as music director in the early 1990s. By September 1992, he was music director at KIKX 102.7 “The Max”, working with program director Tom Fricke as the station launched a CHR/Modern format. The KIKX chapter was brief; the station was documented in country radio by 1993.
Under the name Chris Brooks, he served as program director and air personality at Clear Channel’s KCCY and KDZA. In 2012, Cumulus hired him as program director and afternoon-drive personality at KATC-FM / Cat Country 95.1, citing his promotional energy and familiarity with the Colorado Springs–Pueblo market.
Later industry directories list Koehn as program director of KSPN-FM 103.1 in Aspen. His Colorado radio career continued for decades; Krystal Media identifies him as part of the team that launched 93.1 Summit Country, the country service carried on KYSL-FM HD2 and relayed in Breckenridge on K226CI.
