Nia Bender is a veteran Colorado radio and television news broadcaster whose career includes both Colorado Springs and Denver.
Bender’s own professional biography describes a roughly 40-year news career in radio and television in Colorado Springs and Denver. Her Southern Colorado work included KVOR. A City of Colorado Springs emergency-management media-contact document specifically identifies her as “Nia Bender-KVOR,” independently confirming the station connection.

In 2015 the Colorado Department of Transportation described Bender as the “grandmother of Colorado traffic reporters” and credited her with helping lead the way for women working in Denver traffic reporting.
She also operated The 4th-Estate media-services business and continued working as a news anchor and reporter.
