COLORADO RADIO PERSONALITY

Peter Boyles

Peter Boyles is a longtime Denver talk-radio personality whose career has spanned music radio, news-talk and decades of discussion about Colorado politics, crime, culture and public affairs. Through a succession of Denver stations, Boyles became one of the market’s most recognizable talk hosts and a link between several generations of Colorado broadcasting.

Boyles worked in Denver radio during the era when personality-driven talk was becoming an increasingly important part of the AM dial. His career included KLAK, KHOW and other Denver outlets before a long association with KHOW, where his morning program became known for extended interviews, strong opinions and an emphasis on local stories. His broadcasting life also intersected with many of Denver radio’s best-known figures, including Alan Berg, whose 1984 murder became a subject Boyles continued to revisit on the air decades later.

After leaving KHOW in 2013, Boyles joined Salem’s KNUS 710, extending a Denver radio career that had already lasted several decades. His later programs continued the approach that characterized much of his work: long-form conversation, listener calls and extensive attention to Colorado personalities and controversies.

Where Are They Now?

As of October 2026: Boyles continues to host The Peter Boyles Show on KNUS in Denver. Current 2026 program archives document new Saturday broadcasts, including retrospectives on Alan Berg and conversations about Denver radio history with longtime local broadcasters and colleagues.
