Steve “Mudflap” McGrew combined two careers: country-radio morning personality and nationally touring comedian. In Colorado he became closely identified with KYGO-FM, where his successful morning-show run lasted from 2001 to 2009.
McGrew later returned to Denver country radio on 92.5 The Wolf, KWOF-FM. His comedy and podcast work continued after daily radio, including collaborations with other familiar Colorado radio voices. His professional biography describes him as an award-winning broadcaster with three Country Music Association honors.
