Trevor Carey is a veteran radio personality and programmer whose career included two Colorado Springs music stations before his later news/talk career.
In 1990, Carey served as Music Director at KKMG/Magic FM in Colorado Springs under PD Scooter B. Stevens. Contemporary Top 40 trade listings repeatedly identify the pairing. An October 12, 1990 Hitmakers report says Tom Fricke was promoted to APD/MD at KKMG, replacing Carey, who left Colorado Springs for nights at KWNZ in Reno.
Carey also worked at KIKX during his Colorado Springs years. In a later autobiographical career recap, Carey specifically named “Magic FM and KIKX in Colorado Springs” among his radio stops.
His subsequent career included KWNZ/Reno, Fresno, Kansas City, San Jose, Phoenix and later news/talk radio in California.
Southern Colorado stations: KKMG/Magic FM; KIKX.
