KADX 105.1 flips to jazz
In 1973, after Columbine Broadcasting acquired Denver's KADX 105.1, the station changed from middle-of-the-road programming to jazz.
KADX becomes country KBRQ
In 1982, Denver's 105.1 FM changed from jazz to country and adopted the KBRQ call letters. The FM simulcast its 1280 AM sister station before the frequency's 1987 transformation into KOOL 105.
92.1 becomes jazz KADX
In 1984, KRKY 92.1 changed to jazz and adopted the KADX call letters. The jazz era lasted until 1988.
92.1 becomes rock KZRZ
In 1988, KADX 92.1 ended its jazz format and became rock-formatted KZRZ. The rock incarnation was short-lived, lasting into 1989.
