KNKN-FM

KNKN was the call sign used by Pueblo’s 107.1 MHz FM station from 1993 to 2009. The station carried Spanish-language programming for much of its KNKN era and shared ownership connections with other Pueblo stations.

History

KNKN followed the KRMX-FM identity on the 107.1 MHz facility. During the 1990s it was co-owned with KCSJ and KYZX, connecting the station’s history to other outlets in the Pueblo market. In 2009 the call sign changed to KIQN. Subsequent call signs included KLCX and KWRY. The record concerns the KNKN period and the 107.1 FM facility’s later history.
