KOCK was the original on-air call sign of the low-power FM facility licensed to Walsenburg, Colorado, on 101.3 MHz. It signed on January 7, 2009, with a rock format serving southern Colorado. After going silent in 2010, the facility returned to the air as KFEZ in 2012.
History
KOCK began as a locally oriented rock station. The station ceased broadcasting in 2010 and remained silent while the license and operation changed. In 2012, the facility returned as KFEZ, branded “The Breeze,” and later became associated with an adult contemporary format. The record distinguishes the KOCK call-sign period from KFEZ’s subsequent operation.
