KUBL was a call sign used by Colorado Springs’ 1300 AM station from 2000 to 2002. The “Bull” identity accompanied classic-country programming and followed the station’s KTWK era. The facility later became KBZC, “The Buzz.”
History
In 2000, the call letters and programming associated with KVOR’s news-talk service moved to 740 AM, while the former KTWK identity was used on 1300 AM. The 1300 facility adopted KUBL and a classic-country presentation. In 2002, it changed to KBZC and a talk/sports-oriented format. Later identities included KCSF and KQSC; this history should not be confused with the separate Denver station that also used KUBL.
