Jason Hickman served in a programming leadership role during one of Colorado Springs radio’s notable early-1990s transitions.
Contemporary Radio & Records coverage named Hickman operations manager as Salem Communications took over album-rock KATM and converted the station to KGFT. Dick Bruce was identified in the same report as station manager. The sale ended KATM’s rock era and established KGFT’s Christian teaching and talk format.
Hickman’s role places him at the operational center of that change—helping launch a new station identity on a frequency already familiar to Southern Colorado listeners.
