KRTS was a short-lived call sign used by the 1490 AM station licensed to Manitou Springs, Colorado, from 1982 to 1983. During the KRTS period the AM station separated from its FM simulcast and carried adult-standards programming.
History
The facility had been known as KIIQ before adopting KRTS in 1982. In 1983 it returned to the KIIQ call letters. The station later used KIKX and KRYN before becoming KXRE in 1988. These call changes document successive eras of the same 1490 AM license and do not indicate separate transmitters.
