Hal Tatel was a Colorado Springs radio newsman associated with KYSN 1460 during the station's Top 40 era.
Contemporary industry documentation places Tatel at KYSN well before the station's later years: the 1973 Starship Radio directory identified him as KYSN's news director, working alongside general manager John Lambert and program/music director Gregor Vaule. Later Broadcasting Yearbook material continued to list Tatel in the KYSN news operation.
Former KYSN air personalities discussing the station's late-1960s and early-1970s staff specifically remembered Tatel as a respected newsman and reported that he had died. A reliable published obituary or exact date of death has not yet been located, so the archive identifies him as deceased without assigning a date.
