  • LaLaine Larson

LaLaine Larson, known simply as LaLaine on the air, is a Denver radio personality. Ever had KOOL 105.1 on around midday during the week? That was her voice keeping you company.

    Right now

She hosts the weekday midday shift, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on KXKL-FM (KOOL 105.1). You’ll also spot her at station promotions and community events around town.

    Her Denver years

Her radio work goes back to at least the 1990s, and one early stunt is still talked about: she went off a crane on a bungee cord during a live broadcast, with her microphone fastened to her hand by tape. She’s lived in Denver since 1996 and grew into a familiar voice in the market.

    Before Colorado

LaLaine was born in Sweden and spent part of her childhood there, and her heritage is both Swedish and Filipino. Her family’s moves took them through Luxembourg and Tokyo and ended in the Florida Panhandle. Colorado’s mountains and an active, outdoorsy lifestyle are what pulled her here.
